DAZN launched in Spain in February 2019, showcasing a comprehensive line-up of premium sporting events. Spain was the eight market in which DAZN extended its network, having already established itself it other territories, including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Japan, Canada and USA.

The entry of DAZN in the Spanish market signaled strong competition for telecoms company Telefonica, who had held broadcast rights to major leagues and international tournaments through its subscription platform Movistar+.

DAZN Spain launched with a monthly subscription offer of EUR 4.99, enabling subscribers to watch live and on demand the J. League, Premier League and other domestic football competitions from England and Italy, among other sports.
